Christian Journaling
How to Use a Christian Journal During a Difficult Season
Gentle ways to journal through grief, anxiety, disappointment, waiting, and healing without forcing a positive ending.

Your journal does not need to turn pain into a lesson before you are ready. It can hold unfinished prayers, angry questions, practical needs, and small signs of care.
Use four honest columns
Journal
Write this down
- What happened or is happening
- What I feel in my body and emotions
- What I know—and what I do not know
- What support and next step I need
Do not journal alone when you need care
Writing can clarify what you need, but it is not a substitute for medical care, counseling, crisis support, grief care, or safe community. Let the page help you ask for support.
Please read first
Journaling can support reflection but does not replace medical, mental-health, addiction, crisis, or emergency care. If writing intensifies distress, pause and contact a qualified professional or trusted support person.
