How to Journal During Bible Study
A simple observe-understand-respond method for keeping useful Bible study notes without turning quiet time into homework.

The goal is not to decorate every margin. It is to slow down enough to understand what the passage says, what it meant in context, and how you should respond.
Observe, understand, respond
- 1Observe: Who is speaking? What repeats? What happens before and after?
- 2Understand: What did this mean to the first readers? Check reliable context before making it about you.
- 3Respond: What does this reveal about God, people, wisdom, or obedience?
